Dogs of War

Location: Ukraine and Poland

Saving Ukrainian dogs - The Polish @fundacja.ada staff continually cross the border into Ukraine to help retrieve dogs displaced by the war. Working with small shelters on the outskirts of Lviv, they rescue and evacuate as many dogs as they can fit inside their animal ambulances. Back in Poland they can provide a safe haven with veterinary care and eventual adoption. Many of the dogs are sick or injured and in some cases, their owners were killed or fled, leaving their pets behind. Without intervention these dogs risk starving to death as the war surrounds them.
